
During women's month, the Rotary Club of Santos carries out the traditional awarding of the “Female Merit Award”, but this edition of the award marked a very important detail, the change of name.
Terezinha Maria Calçada Bastos was a companion and President of the Rotary Club of Santos, always engaging with the club's activities. When it came to helping others, Terezinha was enthusiastic. He has dedicated his entire life to volunteer work inside and outside Rotary, contributing through his service to a better world.
The award is now honorably named after Terezinha. A way that the Rotary Club of Santos found to honor her and immortalize her.
This year the award was given to Thaméa Danelon Valiengo, who is the Federal Prosecutor and responsible for Operation “Lava Jato” in the State of São Paulo. The award was made during a regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Santos that took place on March 13, which was also dedicated to Women's Day.

In addition, members of the club went to the rostrum to explain topics such as “The importance of women in Rotary”, “Women's Day”, among others.
