Due to the rainy season and the risk of being left homeless due to landslides this summer, the Social Solidarity Fund (FSS) realized the need to collect food and hygiene and cleaning materials to help those in need.

With this in mind, the “Solidarity Quarantine” was created, organized by the Rotary Club of Santos with the participation of the Rotaract Club of Santos, Interact Club of Santos Prof. Fuschini and Rotary Kids from Santos.

The action took place on February 6, at Hipermercado Extra, located on Av. Ana Costa, and collected around 1.8 tons of food and hygiene products, which will be destined for these families in communities frequently affected by the floods, in addition to many families that are being assisted by the FSS during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, the project had the help of students from Universidade Paulista – UNIP, who also collected food and allocated the “Solidarity Quarantine”.

The distribution of all food and materials will be carried out by the Santos Solidarity Fund.
The Rotary Club of Santos appreciates the commitment of all volunteers in the action and the contributions of all the people who made the project a success!
